| Breaking News |  | Thursday, June 14th, 2001: Burnett Too Tough, Blanks Seattle A.j. Burnett of the Milwaukee Brewers really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 18-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Seattle Mariners with a 5-hit shutout in which he struck out 7 and gave up 2 walks.
Checking out his stats for the year, Burnett has racked up 3 wins and 6 losses in 10 starts, 5.28 ERA and struck out 48 batters in 59.2 innings. |  | Monday, June 11th, 2001: Radke Whitewashes Milwaukee Before the game Brad Radke liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the Royals pitcher whitewashed the Milwaukee Brewers 10-0.
Radke said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count."
The Kansas City starter held Milwaukee scoreless, giving up 2 hits while registering 6 strikeouts and issuing 1 walk.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Brewers manager said in his postgame interview.
"When that happens, you usually lose."
His record this year is 9-3 in 14 starts and Radke has a 3.50 ERA. |  | Saturday, June 9th, 2001: Rueter Holds Brewers Scoreless It turns out that Chicago(A)'s Kirk Rueter needed little run support to beat Milwaukee today 12-0 at Comiskey Park. In a solid outing Rueter recorded 10 strikeouts and 2 walks as he held the Brewers to 6 hits and shut them out.
