In 14 starts this year Hernandez has fashioned a 9-4 record and a 3.65 ERA.
Sunday, June 10th, 2001: Todd Helton Suffers Injury
The California Angels got some bad news when the team learned that Todd Helton was likely to be out for 2 weeks after he injured himself running the bases in today's game against the Seattle Mariners. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a sprained ankle. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the California manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Todd is back in action."

Presently Helton is batting .362 with 98 hits and 10 home runs. He has knocked in 40 runs and scored 51 times.
